"San Francisco has only one drawback. 'Tis hard to leave"
Lately, I've been longing to go back home to San Francisco for a visit. Since that's not in the cards right now, I thought I'd finally blog about my trip back about a year an a half ago, last January 2012.
Right after I'd started feeling better from what I now know what the horrid on-set of mononucleosis, which I had for most of the year last year, my Mom and I set off to San Francisco to visit Shep and help him get a little more settled in his new flat.
We hung pictures.
And Shepherd rewarded us with gourmet fare.
We drove around our City and talked (with our hands, even).
We stopped at Sam's Chowder Mobile, which was parked right by the DeYoung in Golden Gate Park.
And we ate more lobster. There is a battle in my brain between this lobster roll and this lobster roll. Oh boy. My mouth is watering already.
We went to the observation deck at the DeYoung for a 360° view of The City.
And we also watched a few sunsets.
Maybe I'll get to go again this year.
